2Abstract
AbstractThe present study was carried out in order to assess the quality of life and the psychological disorder symptoms of opium users starting and following 4 weeks of detoxification program using buprenorphine. Results of the study showed that the differences between all of the subscales of the quality of life questionnaire were significant (P<0.001). Decrements in all of the psychological disorder symptoms were also statistically significant (P<0.01). The results elicited the beneficial effects of the detoxification programs using buprenorphine on quality of life and psychological disorder symptoms in opium -dependent men
