ObjectiveBorderline left heart disease is characterized by left heart obstructive lesions (coarctation, aortic and mitral stenoses, left ventricular hypoplasia) and endocardial fibroelastosis. The multilevel obstruction and impaired left ventricular systolic and diastolic function contribute to failure of biventricular circulation.
