AbstractThe significance of thermal contact resistance between bearing ball and raceway is investigated and their applications in the analysis of heat flow through the composite layers are discussed. In the present work, the surface roughness, interface temperature & medium are varied in order to estimate the effective thermal contact resistance of the models under steady state condition. The surface roughness and the interface temperature are considered in the range 3.14 - 6.76μm and upto 900C respectively. The temperature drop profile is plotted on bearing model to study the temperature distribution using solidworks-11
