AbstractIn laser dermatology applications, the process of photon absorption, the reflectance and the thermal energy diffusion in the target tissue and its surrounding tissue during laser irradiation is crucial. The aim of the study is to compare the changes of the optical power absorption per unit volume between shaving and non shaving hair on the skin surface and to demonstrate the effect of shaving of the skin surface on power absorption by Advanced System Analysis Program (ASAP) techniques.
