AbstractWe present the case of a 62-year-old man who presented with a methicillin-resistant Staphlococus aureus carotid patch infection. He was treated successfully by carotid patch explantation and revision saphenous vein-patch angioplasty to his carotid artery. This case suggests successful outcomes can be obtained with early revision surgery in this rare but potentially fatal post-operative infection
