AbstractIn this paper we study some aspects of the approximation of mappings taking values in a special class of upper semicontinuous functions. Some Korovkin type theorems for positive linear operators are obtained, and consequences of these theorems for a special class of operators defined through partial sum stochastic processes are analyzed
