AbstractPolycrystal FeGa alloy rods were prepared by vacuum induction melting furnace. Magnetostrictive behavior has been measured by using standard strain gauges. Ring-shaped composites FeGa/ BaTiO3 were fabricated by bonding the ring-type discs of the BaTiO3 and FeGa. The magnetoelectric (ME) effect have been characterized. Near the natural resonant frequency (∼61.5kHz) for the composites, the ME effect were found to be dramatically increased, 8-10 higher than the properties in low frequency. The ME voltage varied evidently with magnetic bias and there existed an optimized magnetic bias 260Oe. When the magnetic bias varied between 160Oe ∼ 260Oe the ME voltage of the composites changed a little and kept on a high value. A linear coupling b...
