AbstractIndustrial bifunctional reforming catalysts are promoted by chlorides for providing adequate acid activity in izomerization and dehydrocyclization reactions. Chlorine content on the reforming catalyst surface is not only the most important, but also one of the hard controllable process parameters. On the basis of numerical and experimental studies, the authors investigated the influence of chlorine-containing compounds on the activity and selectivity of platinum catalyst of reforming process with fixed granular bed.
