Alternative Treatments for Severely Affected Patients with Urticaria

A none sedating antihistamine is the treatment of choice for most patients with urticaria. There are, however, several occasions where alternative treatments are appropriate. In this paper these alternative treatments of various types of urticaria are discussed. The treatment of anaphylactic shock where urticaria often is the first sign is also discussed.
