Simultaneous real diagonalization of rectangular quaternionic matrix pairs and its algorithm

AbstractThe simultaneous real diagonalization(SRD) of a pair of rectangular quaternionic matrices is introduced, and some necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of the SRD are derived. Based on one of the necessary and sufficient condition, an algorithm for gaining the SRD of a given matrix pair is presented
