AbstractAtrial fibrillation is the most common sustained cardiac arrhythmia which is often troublesome to manage. Currently, rhythm and rate control medications are the mainstays of therapy. In 2 amiodarone-refractory highly symptomatic patients, an innovative approach using ranolazine, which selectively acts on Na+ channels and delays atrial depolarization, was tried successfully
