AbstractThe paper analyzes the urban educational discourse in contemporary higher education in the context of collaborative research. The complexity of modern urbanism as a discipline and as a profession indicates the importance of linking various disciplinary paradigms and forms of knowledge. Studying urbanism involves collaborative research dimension and focus on trans-disciplinary studies. Generally, the practice of studying urban discourse in contemporary higher education does not show a high level of understanding for collaborative research dimension, which points to the need for transformation of current practices of educational process.
