AbstractVascular malformations are not often considered in the differential diagnosis of digital lesions presenting acutely, but they do occur, and can present difficulties in diagnosis leading to delays in definitive treatment. We highlight the challenges in managing such patients, who often require multi-disciplinary and multi-centre care, and we hope to increase awareness of this condition
