AbstractAimsEndothelin ETB receptors mediate under normal physiological conditions vasorelaxation in coronary arteries. However, vasocontractile ETB receptors appear in coronary arteries of ischemic heart disease patients. Interestingly, organ culture of isolated coronary arteries also induces upregulation of vasocontractile ETB receptors.
