AbstractThe purpose of this paper is two-fold. First, a new proof of the Quintuple Product Identity is given. Next, the method of this proof is used to establish certain shifted partition identities extending earlier results that the author had obtained by analyzing the Göllnitz-Gordon and Rogers-Ramanujan identities
