AbstractThe paper summarizes the results of the research, performed in 2010-2015, on topic vehicles based on hybrid propulsion system, using the “plug-in hybrid electric vehicle” scheme. The main technological improvement achieved is the vehicle weight reduction, in particular through the use of range extender generators based on micro-turbine technology. The requirements for generator were defined and a system design analysis was held. The concept of the company TurboGEN Technology is briefly discussed
