AbstractThe p-version of the finite element method is applied to solve the singularly perturbed two-point boundary value problem with or without turning point. With the special choice of mesh points, global error estimates are derived. In some cases, the exponential rate of convergence is obtained. Some numerical results are given to show the performance of the proposed method
