AbstractEnergy consumption of rural residents involves many aspects such as energy security, environmental effect, the new rural construction and so on. Based on the analysis of the present situation of renewable energy consumption by rural residents in daily life, this paper estimates the carbon emissions of renewable energy consumption by rural residents in daily life from 1998-2007, and evaluates the environmental effect of the renewable energy consumption in daily life in rural areas. The conclusion shows: in the course of energy consumption by rural residents in daily life, the main body of carbon emissions is caused by the traditional usage of straws, firewood and the other biomass energy in China, and gives relevant policy suggestion...
