AbstractThis paper is concerned with the linear delay partial difference equation a(i,j)u(i+1,j)+u(i, j+1)+b(i,j)u(i,j)+p(i,j)u(i−σ, j−τ)=0where {a(i, j)}, {b(i, j)}, {p(i, j)}, i, j ϵ N0, are real sequences. Sufficient conditions for this equation to be stable are derived. Some conditions for this equation to be unstable are obtained also
