ObjectivesRecurrent stenosis after carotid endarterectomy (CEA), previously reported to occur in 1%/year after operation, is the finite limitation of CEA. Eversion endarterectomy has a perceived lower incidence of recurrent stenosis, although data to support this contention are conflicting.
