AbstractVattenfall has constructed a 30MWth oxyfuel pilot plant located in Schwarze Pumpe in Germany. The plant has been in operation since September 2008. Several test campaigns have been carried out, and in this paper some of the main results and conclusions are described together with some points related to operating experience. The results will serve as a basis for the design and operation of the 250MWe oxyfuel demonstration plant to be constructed by Vattenfall in Jänschwalde, Germany
