AbstractIn this study, the differential effect of different textual enhancement formats on the intake of English conditional type II was investigated. The participants were 101 female learners of English. A reading comprehension text was distributed among five experimental and one control group. The conditional structures in the text were enhanced differently for different groups. Final results revealed that the underline and bold TE formats were more effective; however, the created format by the present researchers did not turn out to be an effective TE format. Final findings indicated that the type of TE format had differential effect on the intake of the target structure
