AbstractMultiple nontraumatic peritoneal and mesenteric emergencies are encountered at imaging of patients in the emergency department. A correct diagnosis of omental infarction, mesenteric adenitis, and mesenteric panniculitis helps patients primarily by avoiding unnecessary surgery.
