AbstractThe article considers the consequences of a fire on an outside installation of a refinery. The refinery uses hydrocarbons and their compounds having a potentially explosive nature and elevated firing temperature, which may cause abnormal situations and premature failure of building structures. Surveys have revealed the most damaged areas after fire, designated the technical condition of the damaged building framework elements and, depending on the degree of damage to building structures, prioritized the restoration of bearing capacity with the development of measures to ensure safe reinforcement and enhance further safe operation.
