AbstractDuring the development of excitatory synapses, molecules cluster on dendrites to form postsynaptic densities, and specialized structures known as spines appear. EphB2 is demonstrated to control this process by associating with and phosphorylating a key postsynaptic molecule, syndecan-2, thereby initiating the maturation of dendritic spines
