AbstractBackgroundA left ventricular assist device (LVAD) is normally contraindicated in significant aortic regurgitation (AR) and requires intraoperative valve repair or exclusion. Nevertheless, AR can coexist with an LVAD, so a valid question when asked might still be of clinical significance.
