AbstractThis paper considers a cell population model described by impulsive PDEs. Existence and numerical approximation of solutions are investigated. By showing that the related operator a(x)ddx on C0(−∞, ∞) generates a strongly conitunous semigroups under general assumption on a(x), we prove the existence of the solution of the nonlinear problem with impulses and given approximation of the solution of the homogenuous equation
