AbstractParallel classes in S(2,4, υ) are investigated for odd Steiner numbers. It is proved that there exist systems S(2,4, υ) with at least one parallel class: 1.(1) for all υ = 61 or 49 + 48n, n ∈ N0,2.(2) for all υ = 25 or 37 + 48n, n ∈ N0, up to a finite number of cases.
