AbstractThis paper analyses the morphodynamics of the Someş River channel on a period of eleven years. The geomorphologic observations have been carried out in the field and the measurements have been done in two sectors in the longitudinal profile of the river. The characterisation of the hydrological control within the framework of the morphohydrographic system of the Someş River has been achieved on the existing database, over a period of fifty five years. The rhythm and the pattern of the processes of the river channel have been determined and eleven meanders have been measured. The obtained data have been interpreted through the control of water flow and sediment transport through the river system. The results obtained, both regarding ...
