Experimental Study of Person's Time Transspective

AbstractThe concept of “time transspective” reflects a person's perception of his\her existence at different periods of his/her life: the past, the present and the future. The attitude to these periods of life is being developed with the years. A study of a person's attitude to his/her own live has been conducted in the context of our research on social maturity. Traditionally, subjective well-being and supraliminal attitude to life time are considered to be the signs of psychological well-being and maturity of a person. The aim of our experimental study is to identify the impact of a thanatic emotional experience performed in a specially created environment of psychological training on the affective appeal of the temporal continuum. As a result, the transformation of the representation of life periods occurred in the direction of increasing the attractiveness of the entire affective temporal continuum. Periods of the future are evaluated as more extended and prospective; the periods of life are more coherent. Specially arranged thanatic emotional experience contributes to the supraliminal attitude to the different periods of a person's life. This method can be used to improve psychological well-being of a subject
