AbstractStatistics pervades all facets of our lives and is one of the most important courses for non-science or non-engineering majors. The microcomputer frees students and teachers from much of the drudgery of numerical calculations, while providing the graphics to enhance understanding. This article demonstrates how microcomputer graphics can be used to do such things as instill the concept of randomness, make plausible the convergence of the binimial to the normal distribution, and give convincing visual displays of the Central Limit Theorem
