ABSTRACTThe aim of this paper is to present the characteristics of interaction between companies and universities in the State of Mato Grosso. The study of this paper became possible due to a study of the bibliographical research from the neochumpeteriana approach about the dynamics of innovation and university-industry interactions in Brazil. Later, from data provided by the Directory of CNPq’s research group, it was held a comparative analysis of university-industry interactions in Brazil, Middle West and in Mato Grosso, between 2002 and 2008.
