AbstractA theoretical investigation is presented to describe a two-dimensional unsteady flow of a viscous incompressible electrically conducting fluid over a stretching permeable surface taking into account a transverse magnetic field of constant strength. The governing boundary layer equations for the problem are formulated and converted to nonlinear ordinary differential equations and then solved numerically using fourth order Runge-Kutta method with shooting technique. Influences of many parameters, like, suction or injection parameter, unsteadiness parameter, magnetic parameter, Prandtl number and Eckert number on velocity and temperature distributions are plotted on graphs while skin-friction coefficient and Nusselt number are shown nu...
