AbstractExperimental results show limited capacity utilization of near surface mounted CFRP laminate strips in strengthened reinforced concrete cross-sections stressed in bending or combined bending and compression. Ultimate strains from tension tests were a few times higher; this decrease can be caused by different stress paths. CFRP laminate strips are not stressed in pure tension like during the tension test, so the strain capacity utilization of them is limited
