A note on the rank-subtractivity ordering

AbstractSome well-known matrix partial orderings can be created by supplementing the so called rank-subtractivity partial ordering by an appropriate preordering. In this note a new partial ordering with the same property is introduced. This new ordering is seen to be weaker than the other orderings but still preserving some inheritance properties
