A Comprehensive Survey on Approaches to Intrusion Detection System

AbstractAs there is a wide spread of Internet services all over the world, many kinds and large number of security threats are increasing. Since it is not technically feasible to build a system with no vulnerabilities, Intrusion detection System, which can effectively detect intrusion accesses have attracted attention. Various architectures and different soft computing based approaches have been proposed to detect computer network attacks. In this paper we present a survey of intrusion detection systems.
