AbstractArchitecture is a multidisciplinary field of study that draws on the arts, science and social sciences. However, the most important part of architectural education in terms of curriculum focus and time spent by students is architectural design. It is in the design studio that students are expected to bring together knowledge from the different disciplines to inform the development of their architectural designs. The design studio offers the potential to provide a multifaceted and enriching learning experience.
