AbstractThe authors manufactured conductometric type gas sensors based on ZnO nanostructures. Using electrodeposition method ZnO nanorods with good crystallinity were obtained. Application of electrospinning method allowed for easy manufacture of ZnO:Al nanofibres with varying diameter. The sensors were built in both nanowire network and a single nanowire configurations. Investigation of sensors characteristics revealed good sensitivity to nitrogen dioxide at temperatures lower than these for conventional resistance type sensors
