AbstractIntegrated coastal zone planning requires the support of engineering tools to perform an accurate analysis of the morphodynamics of the coastal environment. In this paper, a numerical 2DH morphodynamic model is presented as a first step in order to develop an adequate numerical model able to help in the planning and management of the coastal areas. It has been applied to some benchmark tests and the results are presented and discussed
