AbstractThe paper presents an assessment of durability of an acrylic coating weathered both under natural and artificial conditions. The effect of various degradation factors on service life of the material has been presented. The material in question is used to protect concrete against carbonation. Some diagnostic instruments, such as FTIR analysis, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and examination of barrier properties and adherence to the concrete substrate, have been used to determine the weathering rate of the material
