AbstractSalmonella is one of the most common pathogens associated with foodborne illness in chickens. Food outbreaks from this pathogen haven’t declined in the past 15 years according to the data from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. It is our goal to improve food safety monitoring in this area by developing a real time Salmonella detection sensor on food surfaces.
