Competency-based Training to Develop Basic Computer Skills for the Elderly: A Case Study of the Dusit Community, Bangkok, Thailand

AbstractThe objective of the research on the competency-based training to develop basic computer skills for the elder in Dusit community, Bangkok, Thailand was to find learning achievement of basic computer knowledge and skill training of people in the mentioned area. After the training, the people should be able to access information technology system efficiently. The results showed that after the training, the trainees reported learning achievement at a statistically significant level of 0.05 and an increasing of learning achieved at an average of 6.82
