How are the Students Selecting their Bachelor Specialization? A Qualitative Approach.

AbstractDue to the decreasing number of students in universities and to modifications that have appeared in the behaviour of the new generation of students, our purpose is to investigate the students behaviour in terms of choice of their specialization/major during their Bachelor studies. Our aim is to get insights regarding the factors that influence the students choice of specialization and what are the criteria for the selection of a certain type of specialization. We have carried out a focus group for each of the specializations from the 2nd year students, from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Alexandru Ioan Cuza University.
