AbstractPrimary aortoenteric fistula is a rare entity in which there is a pathological communication between the native aorta and part of the gastrointestinal tract. It usually occurs in the presence of an abdominal aortic aneurysm. We present a 71-year-old gentleman who developed a primary aortoenteric fistula. On post mortem he was noted to have a profound kyphosis, which is likely to have contributed in the formation of the fistula
