AbstractIn this research, decolorization of Remazol Brilliant Blue R (RBBR) was investigated using a new isolated white rot fungus, strain KRUS-G, collected from Mulwarman University Botanical Garden,Samarinda, East Kalimantan, Indonesia. The results showed that strain KRUS-G decolorized RBBR efectively compared to Phanerochaetecrysosporiumand Ceriporiopsissubvermispora. The highest decolorization was obtained at pH 4 with 89% loss of RBBR used. The effective decolorization was also observed in the high concentration of RBBR (1500ppm).Concentration of RBBR at 500, 1000, and 1500ppm caused slightly decreasing pattern on mycelia growth.
