AbstractThe aim of this study is to bring up the relationship between the methods the primary school teachers (335 teachers) use preventing the misbehaviour performed in the classroom and emphatic tendencies of teachers and how their emphatic tendencies differ according to some variables. The methods the study group which has emphatic tendency above average mostly use to prevent student misbehaviour was determined. It was determined that the emphatic tendency of this group differs according to gender but it doesn‘t differ according to academic seniority the level of the classroom being taught, the number of the students and the kind of the school graduated
