Literature and the Russian cultural code at the beginning of the 21st century

AbstractIn the article the role of Russian literature at the beginning of the twenty first century is looked over. The loss of the literature-centricity in Russian culture occurred almost right after wreck of the USSR. So literature now has lost functions which were traditional for it during three last ages. Russian literature formed a national cultural code and formed a manner to feel and think, which did characterize Russian person. The Russian literature accumulated Historical Memory and National Identity, was a form of historical socialization. Also Socialist Realism is looked over as a mythogenic aesthetics
