Public Service in Romania and its Role in the Development of the Administrative Capacity

AbstractThe paper sets to research the aspects relating to the structure of the public service, which Romania has chosen to implement in the period following the adherence to the European Union, with the purpose of creating a modern administration, adjusted to the challenges of the 21st century. The study will point out the way in which the reformation methods implemented by Romania have led to the attainment of the set objectives. There will be approached aspects regarding the characteristics of the management process of public services, but also the major measures implemented by Romania in the period 2007 - 2013, towards the growth of efficiency and effectiveness of the activity of those services. In this study, special attention will be paid to the strategy adopted by Romania, in relation to the” Europe 2020” strategy, referring to the public service domain, having as a final objective the growth of the administrative capacity.
