AbstractGlobal warming and low energy building are important issues today. Producing low energy building's is part of effort to reduce global warming. Study of the building thermal performance can be seen as a good first step, to reduce energy consumption. The ITS Rectorate building is used as a case study for low-rise institutional office buildings in the humid tropics.Simulation method was used to investigate external heat gain such as the building design configuration, openings, fabric materials, and internal heat gain which influence to thermal performance of ITS Rectorate building.
