AbstractAs a production method of aluminum wires for an automotive wiring harness, “alternate drawing” which can give high ductility to a drawn wire was proposed. Alternate drawing promises to decrease the additional shearing strain by alternating the drawing direction of every 1 pass. To confirm its usefulness, a comparison of the ductility between alternately drawn wires and unidirectionally drawn wires were made through the results of mechanical tests and texture analysis
